Project Summary
“Learnsmart in FutureLand” was a project designed to share and create good pedagogical practices using digital technology. The main question of the project was: How the digital tools can help to improve the pedagogy and the teaching in order to increase the 21.st century skills of all the pupils including the ones with the special needs?
The participants of the project were primary and secondary schools from Estonia, Lithuania, France, Austria and Netherlands. During the project meeting all the partners participated very actively in providing the exchange of the experiance in developing the 21. century skills. Before the each meeting the each school created a framework for collaboration and methods based on ICT tools that can be used to improve the general skills of all the pupils, especially those with special needs. During three years of the project the 21-st century skills of primary school student were developed in different ways. Also th results of the project were measured and evaluated in order to mark the progress. The measuring was done by participating teachers during working with pupils. All the created materials, used methodology, and videos of the lessons are shared on the project website in etwinning space so all the partners couls use them in future. Also the website of the project and the methods were shared with the other teachers of the schools so the others could use the ideas of the project. .Tha last year due to COVID19 the developing of ICT skills among pipils became extremely important. During this project the participants learned and then apllied in their classes nessecary tools fpr developing 21st century skills while teaching online. The modern challenges require the new skills from all the participants of the learnins as well as pupils, teachers and also families. During the last stage of the project while teaching online we used a lot of methods learned during the mobilities of the project. The feedcack of the teachers was very positive. The main result was that during the first year of the project all the teacher learned a lot in using ICT tools for developing the communication and collaboration skills of the primary school pupils. During the past 2 years when there was a lot of online distant schooling, the most of the pupils and teachers had a lot of tools for working online. During online schooling there were used a lot of new methods for teaching, all of them were discussed constantly in the project FB group.
Positive result of the project is also keeping constant communication between the teachers in FB group not only befor or after mobilities byt just during the school year, sharing the materials, ideas and thoughts. The communication between teachers was very supportive and positive. As for result among pupils, so we can say that during the project almost all of the pupils as well as the ones with the special needs developed their skills in communication and collaborayis, working online or in classes.
Some of the acitvities of the project were changed but the main aim of the project was achieved.
