Project Summary
The main objective of this Project is to make women visible and value their contributions to the positive development of the Humanity. They and their work have been ignored, forgotten, discriminated and mistreated along the History, still nowadays.
To get this, we are going to use the celebration of Special Days (Peace Day, Teachers Day, Women Day, Book Day, Children Day), furthermore some national or traditional parties from each country. (Children Week, Croatia; Liberation Day, Italy; Canary Islands Day, Spain), doing activities includes into the curriculum (poems, biographies, comics, tales, portraits, photos, audiovisual presentations, gráfics, sport activities, musical activites, book marks, interviews…) During each date we will work about a woman or a women movement related to the celebration motive.
A main character (a journalist girl who travels through time and world) designed by the pupils in a competition, will be the conection of the Project. She will give some clues about the woman we are going to know and posing challenges to students to be motivated to investigate.
We also want to propose some metodologies to work in a colaborative way, planning that the tasks for pupils have to be done in group, taking different roles and learning to work in a team, respecting and valuing the contributions of their collegues and acquiring prominence and responsability.
In addition we will motivate our pupils to Europe knowledge, its different countries, languages and costumes, as well as the need of comunication through new technologies and a common language, English.
We hope get the goal to work equal opportunities to girls and boys, sensitizing to our pupils about the discrimination against that, nowadays, women continue to suffer, in Europe and in the world, contributing to a fairer and more egalitarian Europe.
