Project Summary
Currently, CEIP El Puche has 19 units. Out of those units, 6 correspond to Early Childhood Education (3 to 5 years), while 13 units correspond to Primary Education (6-12 years), with a total of 370 students in the centre. It is located in an environment that could be considered a ghetto where two cultures coexist, mainly: Arabic (60%) and gypsy (30%), the rest being indigenous culture.
This is the fourth time that our institution participates in this plan. Our centre is in full development of the Erasmus Project + No. 2019-1-ES01-KA101-061896 project, in which the main objective is to teach in a foreign country. Both projects have
been carried out previously:
1) The main goal of the Erasmus project + No. 2018-1-ESO1-KA101-049457 was to develop various training courses abroad.
2) During the 2017/18 school year, our center participated in the Erasmus project + number 2017-1-ESO1-KA101- 037663. The main purpose was to get to know educational environments similar to ours in other countries.
During the development of this project, the main idea is that part of our students and teachers (3 students and 3 teachers) carry out a mobility in Montpellier (France), with the partner organization “École Élémentaire Louisville”. The participants will be selected through a scaling commission, assessing aspects already detailed throughout the project.
Regarding the objectives of the project, we have considered the following:
1.Raise awareness within the entire educational community (students, teachers and families mainly) of the scope of the project to be carried out, and of the benefits it will bring to our institution.
2. Development and improvement in the training of foreign languages in our students and teachers (in this specific case of the participants), before and during mobility.
3. Carry out for the first time, in the history of our center, a European-wide mobility with our students. In this specific case in Montpellier (France).
4. Implementation of diverse social skills and knowledge of a new educational and European culture by our students and teachers.
5. Develop, explain and share the educational practices that we carry out daily in our center, to other European counterparts.
6. Acquire new methodological guidelines, which will affect our daily work with the students of our institution in the future.
7. Continue to develop the European spirit in relation to the educational community, as we have done in the other projects.
Among the activities to be developed throughout the project, it should be noted that we are going to work in relation to three main moments:
1.Before carrying out mobility, in which we will find a series of activities to prepare for mobility. Among others, the following should be highlighted:
– “EUROPUZZLE” Create a map of Europe, including name, capital and flag of the country, and that is visible in the ERASMUS + corner of our center
-Creation of the “Erasmus +” working group in our center.
-Virtual meetings with the partner center “École Élémentaire Louisville”
-Creation of the scaling commission, and the aspects to be taken into account for the selection of teaching staff and students in mobility.
-The 25 of November “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women”.
-Post Exchange.
-Make a tourist guide to the city of Montpellier
2. Carry out the mobility of teachers and students.
3. After mobility:
-Lay down Internet connections between the students of both centers.
– “Europe channel”.
To assess the success of the project, we consider it essential to qualitatively analyze the impact that its application has achieved on the recipients based on the programmed objectives, the quality of the project and the degree of sustainability. To carry out the evaluation of the project, we will carry out some evaluation activities:
a) At the beginning (preparation): Creation of an evaluation Commission made up of the management team of the center and the recipients (teachers). Preparation of an evaluation document containing evaluable parameters, reference data on the situation prior to the start of the project etc
b) During project start-up (Development): Data collection.
c) Short-term activities: Final data collection and study by the Commission. Carrying out of satisfaction surveys by students and teachers.
Participating in the project would mean being the first compensatory center to carry out a mobility with students in our town, Almería. This would make us an Erasmus + reference center.
