Project Summary
GIVE ME YOUR HAND
Working together to incerase education quality of children with health disabilities on the international level is very important for teaching employees to gain new knowledge and experience as well as for their motivation for further work with children.
When educating intelectually disabled children, it is necessary to take into account specifications of personalities, their cognitive processes, also respect for the students needs and to look for the most adequate working forms and methods to reach the aims in the educational programme.
All of the teaching staff involved gain experience of educating the intelectually disabled students in a foreign country and exchange of the practical skills is to support the partners in their everyday school work.
The aim of the project is to allow a work meeting of teaching staff in the partnership schools, their mutual exchange of experience when teaching intelectually disabled children and to support the teachers to create and execute innovational teaching processes and methods and thus provide the staff with professional development in accordance with the school needs.
Further aims are to process the results of the project by tbe form of suitable teaching material, to inform about these results all other teachers as well as the teachers in other special schools in the form of a methodical day and to continue the cooperation with the partners in other activities even after the end of this project.
