Project Summary

The EU is committed to taking action to limit global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, in line with the 2015 Paris Agreement. In November 2018, the Commission adopted the ‘clean planet for all’ strategy, aiming for a prosperous, modern, competitive and climate-neutral economy by 2050. Education is an essential element of the global response to climate change.

Public opinion, especially for young people, is acutely aware of global climate change issues. Despite this, there is less action to reduce carbon footprint and thus protect cultural heritage area. The students in the partner schools need education on the impact of climate change on cultural heritage and on the importance of cultural heritage as a climate change indicator.To achieve these, the general aim of the project is to build student awareness on the cultural heritage of their city, the preservation of cultural heritage and a critical awareness of climate change problems related.

-To provide permanent behavioural changing on the pupils about saving our planet and preserving cultural heritage areas through project activities
-Raising awareness on tangible and intangible cultural heritage safeguarding in schools
-To sharing best practices on cultural heritage and climate education among partner schools
-To raise awareness level of importance of cultural heritage areas at city level
-To develop foreign language and teamwork skills of the pupils and staff
-To promote cultural diversity and EU citizenship and respecting other countries culture
-To feeling that they a valuable member of wide EU cultural family

The project focused actively student’s participation. The teachers will provide their counselling and during the all project activities and students will stay center of the project activities. The project groups consist of students, educational staff, school managers and parents. The students (11-14 years old) of the partner school will join to the all project activities. Teachers and managers will join local and transnational project activities. Parents will join only local project activities. If a student who need special accompanying will join short-term exchange activities, one of her/his parent will join to the activity as an accompanying person.

Results
All the results will produce by project teams.
-I am preserving: It include detailed information to preserve about cultural heritage areas in the partner schools cities. It will be available English version.
-Saving the Planet: It include daily life tips to reduce carbon footprint. Also it include detailed information about disaster scenario of the scientists next 20 years if we don’t protected the planet.
-Teacher Book: It include 12 lesson plans of cultural heritage and climate change subjects. Also lesson plans consist of outdoor and indoor activities.
-Recycling Activity Book: It include 12 recycling activities using preparing waste materials for 11-14 years old students.
-Website: All the project outcomes and results will publish on project website during the six years.
-Leaflet: It will provide detailed information about the project activities. It will be available on partner schools native languages. Partners will use it all the dissemination activities.
-Dissemination Folder: It will use during and after the project to disseminate project outcomes and results with all stakeholders.

We expect these long-term benefits at the end of the project on participants;
