Project Summary

This green electricity transition project is a priority for the European Union. It was in this context that the partnership was born between the Pablo Neruda high school from Saint Martin d’Hères, France and the Colegiul Tehnic Energetic from Cluj Napoca, Romania. These 2 establishments are fully in line with the trades of an electrician. This project will give our professional sections, composed of at least 24 French and Romanian learners, the opportunity to demonstrate good citizenship by taking responsibility and by committing to make positive changes in the way they work to become eco-electricians responsible in renewable energies.

The theme of the project will be the access to the green transition of electric energy (TV2E). To do this, there will be :
– practical workshops on the transportation part: surface and underground electrical networks – practical workshops will focus on the distribution part: high voltage / low voltage delivery station
– practical workshops on low voltage cable heads
– practical workshops on installing photovoltaic panels, connecting an inverter
– practical measurement workshops (ohm’s law) and visualization of an electrical signal
– visits to hydroelectric dams, photovoltaic power plant and a wind farm for the production part of renewable energies.
– company visits, manufacturer of photovoltaic panels, manufacturer of energy converter, design and implementation of renewable energy installations.
– interventions by associative members of the ALEC (Local Energy and Climate Agency), this association is a tool for proximity, decision-making aid, a place for discussion and advice on energy, for all consumers in the Grenoble metropolitan area.

The project has a clearly identified theme that implies groups of French and Romanian students exploring together and which should lead to concrete daily activities on the eTwinning platform (Create a collaborative digital album around the story “The green transition of electric energy”; Webradio : report on electrical equipment for renewable energies; Creation of a card game of 7 families on places and key figures in the history of electricity; Creation of miniature wind turbines; Creation of a mobility notebook in trilingual digital format) carried out within the framework of this project and involving all the participants. The TV2E project must submit to the future implementation of Directive 2010/31 / EU (ANNEX 0) from January 1, 2021, when all new buildings must have energy consumption close to zero and must meet the key challenges for preserving the environment from climate changes.
This project has great added value for these future electricians and European citizens of tomorrow. Participating in this TV2E project is an important non-formal learning experience through which students will improve their personal, educational, social and social development.

Note that for many young people, mobility will be a unique opportunity for them to travel to Europe. Many have little opportunity to explore the unknown within their families who have limited financial means. A very large majority of these students come from priority urban areas from France, and remain strongly connected to their neighborhood, while the Romanian pupils come from isolated rural areas.

Heraclitus, presocratic philosopher has left us a legacy: “If you do not hope for the unexpected, you will not be able to find it”. We bet that this opinion will allow the nowaday’s utopia to become the reality of tomorrow. To reach the 2050 goal that the European Commission calls for a neutral climate in Europe.
