Project Summary
Our 6 schools are facing challenges to keep students motivated. Most have a high percentage of students with learning difficulties(SEN).We notice students don’t understand the rationale of certain subjects, find it difficult to learn new things. Most school curricula focus on lists of skills to attain. We fail to understand why some students will achieve some but won’t achieve others. We ask students to learn, teach them how to learn but we often notice that when they’ve managed it,once the assessment is over, little remains. This project will help understand school can be a place where they can find self-fulfillment,where the main goal isn’t to merely answer the expectations of society but to find who they are to understand what goals they wish to reach and how to reach them.It aims to help schools afford implementing new activities,go beyond regular school curriculums/help students find their talent,to develop further the different subjects/skills taught at school, and explore new types of activities. Thanks to the innovative ICT tools, peer work and cross disciplinary activities we hope to include/encourage our students to try new activities. We’ll articulate our project around four main themes which will promote Communication and ICT skills,Intercultural European Awareness,Citizenship/Entrepreneurship,Creativity and Self-fulfillment.Our students will become more self-confident about their talents/more comfortable with the time spent at school. They’ll collaborate to create a common website,an online magazine, art exhibitions, launch campaigns ,step into action with local associations, make school a safer/happier place by analyzing their social media habits, become aware of their common values/culture.They will celebrate Safer Internet Day,Europe Day,Volunteer Day and World Art Day to show their talents/what they’ve learnt. Our schools will suffer less from early school leaving, school demotivation/allow our students to consider long term schooling, and the importance to carry on their studies. We’ll create such products as a website, twinspace, films,a logo,a live dictionary, surveys, educational materials related to safety internet/our cities, old toys, traditional dresses, street games, culture top creators,Erasmus corner,a journal,magazine,photos/videos about the activities, presentations, collaborative stories(chain stories),poems, songs, online works of art, project museum/a web2 guide book combining 4 eBooks.
Social interaction is an outstanding factor to establish an inclusive European community. We need to include all kind of individuals in these interactions. They must play an active role to be future citizens of Europe.
By collaborating with European students/learning about cultures,we’ll build bridges between countries/establish a long-lasting relationship. We want to familiarize students with different cultures/enhance their understanding/create an interesting learning environment. We’ll help them become better achieved European citizens.
