Project Summary

The strategic partnership involves four institutions: two Italian CPIAs (CPIA 1 Siena and CPIA 1 Grosseto), a Spanish institute (CFA Francesc Layret) and a French institute (GIP FCIP – Paris). The two CPIAs involved have active collaborations with each other as partners of the CPIA Network in Tuscany, they also collaborated in the Eramsus+ KA104 project “CPIA in Europe: sharing, comparing, improving”. The participation in the job shadowing mobilities carried out during the project allowed the creation of networks with other European institutions and led to the development of a strategic partnership for the exchange of good practices, in order to consolidate the collaborations and to share and compare the best practices and methodologies implemented by the different partners.
Objectives of the project:
– to strengthen national and international collaboration networks;
– to share and compare good practices and methodologies;
– to improve the professional skills of the adult education staff;
– to broaden adult participation in training activities through open and innovative practices, such as effective use of ICT and distance learning;
– to improve inclusion and guidance strategies;
– to acquire better methodologies in foreign language teaching;
– to improve the trainers’ competences in the area of credit recognition and assessment of competences, in order to develop personalized learning paths.

The project will last 20 months. In order to achieve the objectives of the project, the following activities will be organized:
1) Transnational project meetings – We intend to organize four project management meetings, that will last three days and will be aimed at planning, monitoring and evaluation of all project activities. The meetings will involve three members of the project team identified in each partner institution.
2) Short term staff training activities – staff training events will be organised in each partner institution, involving six participants employed in each partner institution. Each partner will select the activities which represent the profile of their educational offer. The training events will last five days and will include workshops aimed at illustrating the good practices implemented in the partner institutions. There will be also visits to partner institutions and observation of the lessons in order to see how the good practices are implemented in real-life situations. The participants will be selected according to fair procedures, and will take into account criteria such as language and ICT skills, commitment to the areas of improvement covered by the project, experience in international collaborations.

It is expected that the following results will be achieved by the end of the project, aimed at the dissemination and valorization of the activities carried out:
– e-learning tools: realization of examples of learning objects shared between the partners, which can be used in the implementation of distance learning;
– good practices guide, which can be published as an e-book, containing the best practices shared by the partners in the fields of inclusion and guidance, use of ICT, foreign language teaching and credit recognition;
– final video of the project.

The activities of the strategic partnership will have an impact on the partner institutions, the members of the project team, the participants in the training activities and the different stakeholders involved. The project team will improve skills in European project management, the participants in the staff training activities will have the opportunity to compare teaching methodologies, inclusion strategies, technological resources and credit recognition methods used in adult education at international level. The activities will lead to more flexible and inclusive practices in the organisation of the institutions involved, facilitating a wider participation of adult learners in training activities. As regards the impact on the organisations, they will gain greater visibility at local, regional, national and international level. At local, regional and national level, each partner, through the dissemination activities, will promote a greater awareness of the importance of the activities carried out by each institution in the context of lifelong learning, as well as knowledge of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme and a wider participation by other institutions in its territory. At international level, networks of cooperation and mutual learning between European adult education institutions will be consolidated, aimed at improving the quality of training and education programmes.
