Project Summary

With the developments in information and communication technologies, our world is rapidly digitizing. As digital uses increase, so do digital threats. It raises new problems and concerns in the security dimension of Information Technologies. Crimes such as theft, fraud, cyberbullying are increasing dangerously in the online environment due to the widespread use of the Internet and mobile tools.
Our project was born out of the need to encourage teachers and students to online security and to integrate cyber security into education in order to ensure the conscious and proper use of the internet by building strategies to make the Internet a safer place. We decided to turn our “Get Cyber ​​Skilled and Prevent Cyber ​​Bullying” project, which we launched last year, into a strategic partnership project to increase interaction and collaboration among schools, share good practices, and develop strategies to integrate cyber security into education and training.
The purpose of our project is to provide cyber security methods and necessary skills in an interdisciplinary way in schools in order to use the internet safely and to protect against cyberbullying.Our project will last for 2 years and includes partner schools from Turkey, France, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain.
High school students aged 15-19 will be included in our project. 4 students and 2 teachers will participate in the mobility, disadvantaged students will be actively involved in the project, but the entire school community will benefit from the project.
6 mobility (LTT activities) will be carried out throughout the project. Time Schedule of the Project:
1st Mobility in Turkey November 2020 /2 teachers from each partner
2nd Mobility in Portugal March 2021 /4 Pupils 2 teachers from each partner
3rd Mobility in Italy May 2021 /4 Pupils 2 teachers from each partner
4th Mobility in Spain November 2021 /4 Pupils 2 teachers from each partner
5th Mobility in Greece March 2022 / 4 Pupils 2 teachers from each partner
6th Mobility in France May 2022/4 Pupils 2 teachers from each partner
Turkey will be responsible for giving Project teachers seminars on cyber security and cyberbullying and preparing sample lesson plans , teaching the web2 tools to be used in the project to other partners and establishing communication between partners(C1)
Portuguese users will be responsible for malware on the internet, social engineering methods, vulnerabilities in Internet of Things applications. An ebook will be prepared on this subject (C2)
Italy will be responsible for the preparation of social media-related conferences, workshops and an e-journal.(C3)
Spain is responsible for online security and privacy workshop, an international guide e-book for internet safety (C4)
Greece is responsible for the dramatization study, short video creation competition on cyberbullying.(C5)
France will be responsible for the workshop on the rights and responsibilities of digital citizens, preparing leaflets and organizing the Project Exhibition in the final of the project (C6)
Once the project is accepted, the project execution team, the Student Selection Commission, the dissemination Commission, the monitoring and Evaluation Commission will be established. The project execution team will be responsible for planning the necessary preparations for the project activities, getting plane tickets, making accommodation reservations, ensuring that the activities are done on time and using the budget in accordance with the purpose.We will form a crisis team (2 teachers from each partner) to solve unexpected situations.
With our project, teachers and administrators will be encouraged to cyber security training in schools, digital identity will be created and the importance of digital ethics will be learned, cyber bullying methods will be seen and the rate of combating cyber bullies will rise, the importance of privacy on the internet will be understood, the rate of sharing personal data with others will fall, media literacy will be learned Teachers will use innovative teaching techniques in the digital age, work collaboratively with colleagues in Europe and improve their professional profiles by increasing their digital competence. Transnational cooperation will be carried out with our project, awareness of different cultures will be gained, participants ‘ perspectives will be enriched and an international identity will be gained as part of the globalizing world.
“Cyber Security Units” and “Cyber Security clubs” will be established in schools, students participating in training activities will organize meetings with their friends and will work actively in these clubs and inform them.
The project’s products will be available on the Project’s website for a long time. After the project is finished, the project website will be active for at least 5 years.
