Project Summary

The project aims to develop a strong cooperation at European level between the partners institutions involved in against bullying. The partners will work together, will learn from each other, sharing the best practices and strategies to prevent and stop bullying among students making the school a friendly place, facilitating social inclusions and tackling early school leaving
Project Objectives
1. To support educational staff, youth workers and teachers from partner institutions, improving their professional capacity, to understand, identify and prevent bullying and its impact in school and in student’s life acquiring new strategies and non-formal methods of participatory culture by means of 3 Short-term joint staff training events.
2.To build relationship and real values to stop bullying, early school leaving and social exclusion by means of 12 training workshops for students our partners are working with
3. To increase the support to combat bullying through the use of ICT and media education and to strength the networking among partners by means of “BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY” web TV, a true resource of international value, bringing together the best European practices on the issue
4. To raise awareness about bullying by means of Anti-bullying Campaign 3 DAYS OF ACTIVISM launched by all partners
The objectives will be achieved through:
* 3 SHORT-TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENTS during which the target groups of each partner will learn:
– How to use the acquired knowledge about bullying phenomenon in order to prevent identify, prevent and combat it.
-How to use theatre of the oppressed against bullying changing aggressive behaviours and attitudes of those who bully towards those who are bullied , against early school leaving and to stimulate social inclusion of students from vulnerable groups through arts
– How to create media products against bullying and its consequences – in terms of digital skills and media education, linguistic competences and knowledge
-How to use citizen journalism against bullying
– How to use non-formal methods of visual arts (stencil graffiti, mail art, fanzine) in order to send messages against bulling online and offline.
*12 TRAINING WORKSHOPS during which the students our partners work with will learn
-to acquire knowledge regarding bullying in order to prevent and stop it
– to use theatre of the oppressed against bullying, early school leaving and social exclusion
– to use mail art with messages, stencil graffiti and fanzine
– to act as anti- bullying citizen journalists
* “BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY” web TV, a channel as digital network among partner organizations will be used to upload new resources for schools and NGO staff, teachers, students, youth workers being open towards interested organizations and individuals.
*Anti-bullying Campaign 3 DAYS OF ACTIVISM
Campaign against bullying encourage students and young people from all over the world to stand against it.
The project will have a great impact on the teachers, trainers, youth workers. They will acquire competences to prevent and stop bullying and to train students to stop bullying, early school leaving and social exclusion during 12 Training –workshops. Also, they will teach them to act as anti-bullying citizen- journalists for BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY web TV. Together they will launch Anti- bullying Campaign 3 DAYS OF ACTIVISM rising awareness about bullying, protesting during 3 days against it, aiming to shape the political agenda of governments and politicians in office. During these days will take place: flash mob, statue theatre, stencil graffiti, mail art against bullying; participants will record and share via social networking sites all the campaign’s actions and media products, encourage students and young people from all over the world to stand against bullying.
The BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY web TV will be a true resource of international value presenting strategies and methods to prevent and stop bullying. The special field – COLLECTION OF BEST PRACTICES IN NON-FORMAL LEARNING AGAINST BULLYING can be useful for teachers, trainers, youth workers and educators after project end. Also PUBLIC POLICIES AGAINST BULLYING field will collect news about measures taken by governments against bullying both during project time and after project end.
The partner organization will improve their professional capacity acquiring new strategies and practice to stand against bullying; they will become able to organize a wide range of events bringing innovative methods of combating bullying and early school leaving, of forming students more tolerant and more involved in the community life, of including those belonging to disadvantaged background
Due to the project, parents will stand together with teachers against bullying, to strength the networking among parents, school and teachers.
