Project Summary
Five organisations from Iceland, Hungary and Slovakia have realised an successful E+ strategic partnership project to raise awareness of the importance of children’s age-appropriate
development and early intervention. During our project, we realised the lack of more fundamental things. Efficient, responsive communication and social inclusion are also missing
among children and parents. We believe, if we help children to be confident communicators, they will be later confident learners and successful adults, who stand up for the interests of
their own and of the others.
Natura Hungarica Foundation as applicant, together with
– the Icelandic NGO for integrative sports, HLI
– the Icelandic health-promoting group of kindergarten, Skólar ehf,
– the Slovakian NGO for early intervention and autistic children, Rata o.z.,
– the Hungarian foundation for early intervention and TSMT therapy, BHRG and
– the Hungarian foundation for Heroic Imagination Project, Hősök Tere
established strategic partnership and elaborated together project scope as well as planned activities and results. We also shared tasks and responsibilities regarding project activities
and results, taking into account expertise and preferences of each organisation.
We would like to make the world a better place by helping our direct target group= teachers/therapists/caregivers and indirect target group= parents of children before school-age,
– to establish responsive communication in their community,
– to boost resilience and keep motivation among children and adult,
– to promote social inclusion through efficient communication and everyday heroism.
These competences will lead to a fruitful cooperation among children and adults, resulting in a young confident communicator and later confident learner.
To reach these goals, we will share our experiences and learn new methods and tools in the frame of six joint staff trainings.
During the trainings, we will share experiences on the topics, described below and create curriculum of 3 workshop modules.
After the first three trainings, on facilitation, signs and methods of communication, we will create a workshop module, called BIO-TRIO, about responsive communication among 1)
children 2) parents 3) teachers/therapists/caregivers.
Since challenges and setbacks frequently come, we focus in the fourth training at boosting resilience and sharing well working and new methods of motivation. We dedicate a whole
workshop module to the power of resilience.
When our target groups know how to communicate in an efficient and inspiring way and they are resilient in doing so, then they can really change their wide community. They only
need to learn, how to involve and activate people and how to wake up everyday heroism, to stand up for and realise social inclusion among people with any background.
We structure activities in the same way, building on our three topics in focus. But, we combine different project results with different target groups, so as to multiply the effects.
To reach and influence our direct (1.) target group= teachers/therapists/caregivers of children aged 0-6/7, we will create and implement the workshop modules. Combined with the
workshop we create a booklet on the same topics, to remind adults, what they have learnt.
To reach our indirect (2.) target group=parents and teachers of children of any age, we create a website in English, Icelandic, Hungarian and Slovakian languages. We also realise at
the first milestone a social media campaign on responsive communication among BIO-TRIO and another one on social inclusion, close to the end of project.
As a result of six joint staff trainings and two transnational project meetings and numerous online meetings, we will create a collection of good practices, which will cover 4 topics:
– RESPONSIVE COMMUNICATION FOR BIO-TRIO,
– POWER OF RESILIENCE,
– BEAUTY OF DIVERSITY,
– BENEFITS OF INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
Through dissemination activities, our organisations will in three countries, in 4 languages, within 36 months
– reach 848. 800 people via online and offline media,
– realise nearly 75 workshops, where 1.145 teachers/therapists/caregivers will participate,
– share 2.750 booklet in printed format among teachers/therapists/activists and volunteers.
Participants and organisations will be different from several points of view. They will be
– more efficient in supporting children and parents,
– more motivated and dedicated,
– thinking more strategically,
– more open toward foreign people, new methods, any changes and ICT tools,
– ready for international and inter-sectoral cooperation.
We will sustain project results and
– organise after the end of the project 60 workshops, involving 905 teachers/therapists every year,
– maintain project website,
– share collection of good practices on several websites.
