Project Summary

Fitting the Erasmus+ strategy for inclusion and diversity and the new EU Youth Strategy, the aim of the project is to organize the conditions to make 3 groups of young people benefit from high-quality measures to mobilize, connect and empower them. These groups are the targeted audience of the consortium (Samba Résille (FR), Barefeet Theatre (ZA) and Artscape (SA)). They:• Live in the streets of Lusaka, abused by malevolent adults, and/or abandoned by their parents unable to provide for them;• Are from the Cape Town townships, looking for brotherhood in a still unequal post-apartheid world;• In a situation of mental and sensorial disability, often isolated in life places closed to the outside world because of lack of means.Leaning on a SWOT diagnostic of resources, skills and experiences of the partnership, the consortium planned as an answer a program of activities of capacity building and mobility of youth workers:• Concerning 52 social facilitators (youth workers and street educators) and cultural facilitators (artists and cultural managers);• And organizing 138 individual mobilities, from which 88 are for people with less opportunities. This project has the following specific objectives:1. Give the youth workers artistic and managerial skills, increase their analysis capacities of the young people’s needs regarding their contexts, singularities, particularities or live environments, and give them the tools to build relevant answers allowing a bigger autonomy, involvement and commitment of the young vulnerable people in their daily support;2. Develop the quality and the internationalization of the partners increasing their knowledge and expertise in the distinction of opportunities of European and international learning mobility for young people and youth workers;3. Increase the involvement of the authorities, decision-makers and youth non-governmental organizations, locally and nationally, and at the African and European scale to promote the implementation of institutional and private good practices favorable for the mobilization and connection of youth in Africa and Europe. The strategy of following, evaluation and dissemination of the results of the activities has the aim to boost a dynamic to spread the visibility of the project beyond its limits, towards the external stakeholders and the targeted audiences. It encourages all partners to commit to an active process of promoting the project productions, allowing them to measure the quality of their works favorable for the socio professional inclusion and the value created at all levels thanks to an longitudinal, appreciative and participative evaluation, and aim at boosting a structured dialogue taking the form of a Euro-African summit of young leaders and decision-makers for youth around exchanges promoting the transfer of institutional and non-profit good practices facilitating the involvement, the reinforcement of skills and connection of all African and European youth.
