Project Summary
In this project, coordinated by the Białystok Esperanto Society, five organizations from five EU countries (Poland, France, Great Britain, Croatia, Italy) will work together to significantly contribute to improving the quality of educational activities for adults, with particular emphasis on educational activities and new challenges.
The main goals of the project are:
– Facilitating the exchange of good practices between organizations from different backgrounds
– Strengthening the position of participating organizations through peer-learning and international cooperation
– Facilitate knowledge transfer within each organization to create more sustainable organizations
– Engaging more adults in addressing the major challenges of adult education
– Providing an appropriate set of programs, guidelines and materials that can be reused by other organizations
– Increasing the quality of adult educational activities
– Create opportunities for new partnerships between organizations involved in adult education.
The activities will focus on the exchange of good experiences of online adult learning activities, mutual learning, gathering good experiences, creating guidelines and other materials publicly available and used by others.
One of the main interests of the partnership is to ensure high-quality adult education, especially for those active in NGOs, and to ensure more efficient transfer of knowledge both within a specific organization and between different organizations. That is why the partner organizations have long provided various education and training activities for adult target audiences, both through initiatives based solely on volunteer forces and on EU-funded projects (LLP Grundtvig / Erasmus+).
The collective needs analysis completed in February 2020, followed by the current crisis situation caused by the pandemic, led to an increasingly strong intention to help adapt more and more entities in the educational environment to new circumstances and to provide regular courses, seminars and other initiatives in digital format. This online form corresponds to a more inclusive educational model and is more compatible with intercultural education, because thanks to this, students from different backgrounds have the specific opportunity to make contact with an international group without without leaving home.
The main activities of the project will be five transnational project meetings scheduled for coordination of project progress, exchange of good online learning experiences (models, tools, methodological approaches, advices) as well as gathering and creating of materials and tips on the main topic of the project.
The main activists of this project are volunteers, teachers and trainers active both within their organization and in a wider network of associations. This has a potentially wide range of impact and an extraordinary impact on project results, and will provide added value to the partnership.
After each transnational meeting, the partners will organize activities and presentations at national and local level. Project results will be presented, discussed and adjusted according to the specific local contexts and contacts of each partner, and the resources will be available online even after the project is completed.
The intended effect of the partnership is measurable in terms of the amount and effectiveness of future online learning activities, both within each organization and within the consortium, thanks to the project’s multiplier effect.
In the long run, this will help to improve the quality of online educational activities to be carried out by voluntary NGOs, and to involve more activists in similar activities and initiatives.
