Project Summary

With ENHANCE seven major research-intensive universities with a focus on science and technology lay the basis for an innovative European University of Technology. Our aim is to empower students, researchers and society to responsibly address the challenges of tomorrow, challenges laid out in the Green Deal and Digital Transformation. We will create European Education Pathways, empowering talents from diverse backgrounds to benefit from a truly European education, based on European values as well as new approaches to using technology and co-creation. Common learning goals and outcomes and customised student journeys enhance recognition for short- and long-term mobility, including micro credentials, to move towards 100% mobility experience. Learners of tomorrow will work with society and industry to understand the complex links between science, technology, society and the environment at a European level. Together, they will contribute to solutions for challenges such as digitalisation and AI, climate action and sustainable cities and communities, creating impact through a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem.

As a learning organisation, ENHANCE will foster bottom-up innovation in new educational methods and modern university administration. A participative governance structure will enable student co-creation at all levels. We will provide inter- and transdisciplinary learning experience as standard through our joint expertise in science and technology, humanities and social science. Our Alliance will be an integral part of European society, enhancing co-creation with societal stakeholders and the societal engagement of students. Our educational programmes are based on European values with a strong focus on diversity, empowered through the ENHANCE Diversity and Gender Equality ombudsperson and diversity campaigns. ENHANCE One Campus will increase mobility as well as the quality and attractiveness of ENHANCE to students and academics from around the world.
