Project Summary

EUniWell, the European University for Well-Being, integrates 7 universities to create a multi-campus European University that (1) empowers research, education and transfer to enhance global and regional well-being, (2) promotes internal well-being, (3) multiplies synergies and shifts to more inclusive and holistic ways of driving change.
EUniWell addresses well-being across four research arenas aligned with OECD and EU priorities, and SDGs: Well-being and Health; Individual & Social Well-Being; Environment, Urbanity & Well-Being; Teacher Education. Cross-campus platforms will unite students, academics, policy makers and industry to radically renew the research-education-transfer nexus and boost cutting-edge, interdisciplinary collaboration.
EUniWell will develop innovative, challenge-based curricula across all 3 cycles to deliver a transformative student experience focused on societal impact. Students will be empowered in charting challenge-based learning journeys and customised placements. They will be able to move seamlessly from campus to campus. Staff will be supported to embed critical thinking, intercultural competence, entrepreneurial mind-sets and civic responsibility in blended course design with a strong mobility component. Life-Long Learning will extend training beyond institutional boundaries.
Internally, we will strive for a more sustainable organisational culture foregrounding well-being though inclusion and diversity, Open Science, new reward systems and talent schemes, comprehensive quality management, and research integrity. Externally, we will support effective cross-sectoral dialogue with partners, extending our agenda beyond academia and contributing to the economy of well-being in our local and global communities.
In the long-term, EUniWell will create a seamless, state-of-the-art educational environment in which our boundaries will dissolve as we become a single entity strongly intertwined with our local, regional, and global contexts.
