Project Summary

Startup capability academy project is a professional training program aims to design and build the supporting environment for entrepreneurship, startup capabilities and self-employment. It applies the main principles of entrepreneurship and innovation to empower the startup ecosystem in PC universities. In reference to national strategies in Palestine and Tunisia, TRANSFER will bridge the gaps in technology innovation and startups development ecosystem in PC. The overall objective of this project is to create a curriculum in startup and entrepreneurial capabilities at PC to be integrated as a professional training program that will be established at the PC universities within the existing technology educational programs and business incubators, where the lectures will take place. Furthermore, it will produce training manuals to be integrated with the startups incubation programs at the PC universities. TRANSFER addresses the Curricular Reform National Priority for PS and TU by establishing, a newcurriculum for startup academy and disseminating the results. It includes teachers training and involves a strong relation to industry coming from the nature of the discipline, which enhances employability of graduates. These objectives will be achieved through the following activities:1) short visits for PC staff to EU institutions to develop competence in multidisciplinary program design part of bologna processes and learning methodologies.2) short and long visits for faculty members from PC to EU universities to develop capacities to create teaching material for the new curriculum.3) short teaching visits by EU professors to PC to guide the implementation of the program.4) co-supervision of students and short visits of two-week study period for students to spend at EU universities. 5) establish teaching environment including lab, training material, training software, eLearning environment.The direct target groups of TRANSFER are the staff, and students, of PC.
