Project Summary
Background :
The development of technology, internet, social networks, 5G, Artificial Intelligence, creates a great disruption in the world of education. Faced with these societal upheavals, the school in the digital age must reinvent itself and give children the tools to take an active and creative role in their learning and become full-fledged citizens. Producer of citizen projects (Le Bonheur au Travail 2015), Productions Campagne Première has decided to focus on the issue of school. For this project, the financial support of the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation has already made it possible to produce the platform and initial content.

Objectives:
Our project, Happiness at School is a web platform in the form of an educational toolbox, supported by a documentary series of the same name. The idea is to stimulate the creativity of the Internet user through dozens of short films presenting innovative educational methods. Each video puts students and teachers in action. It offers the necessary tools to take ownership of the ideas and methods proposed. Each visitor will be able to view the films and create an account to get involved in the project by reacting to the videos and proposing new ideas. Some of these proposals will lead to the realization of other episodes. The objective is to make a large public discover innovative practices, to create an exchange between all Internet users, and that these methods be put into practice by the greatest number.
The support of Erasmus will allow us to make a trilingual version of the platform, to ensure its moderation and to create new intellectual productions in the form of short films.
Three documentary films distributed internationally will support and promote this project: “Awakening the desire to learn”, “Connection or disconnection” and “Citizens of tomorrow”.
These three main themes will be found in all the content distributed on the platform:
1) The first, “awakening the desire to learn”, will bring together methods that propose to stimulate the creativity and cultural awareness of students.
Examples of these methods are
– mixing the ages so that the older ones set an example for the younger ones
– Introduction to animated films to understand how images are made.
– non-violent communication through mediation at school by students
– school in the forest to reconnect with nature
2) The second, “connection or disconnection”, will show examples of innovative practices in the digital age.
For example, the following examples will be presented:
– computer hacking courses to understand digital decryption
– learning manual work to fight against screen addiction
– learn how to distinguish fake news
– The smartphone as an educational tool
3) The third, “citizens of tomorrow”, will highlight pedagogies that develop common values, civic engagement and participation.
For example:
– learning altruism as a school subject
– Raise awareness of environmental issues among young people by teaching them how to recycle waste.
– Develop team spirit and collaborative work
– learn several subjects transversally at the same time
Number and profile of participants:
We want to reach a large audience, including experts, teachers, parents and students, by broadcasting part of our videos on social networks, with a format adapted for each of them, to encourage as many people as possible to join our platform.
Description of activities and methodology :
Creation of the multilingual version of the platform
creation of intellectual productions
translations of these productions in 3 languages
Establishment of a campaign on social networks with a specific format for each social network
Moderation of exchanges on the platform
Creation of new content according to the proposals of Internet users and the choices of our partners.
Expected results and impacts
We want to reach 100,000 Internet users in Europe over two years and hope that many European Internet users will propose their own initiatives. Our goal is that these initiatives will be taken up by hundreds of people.
Potential long-term benefits:
Circulation to as many people as possible of innovative practices
This web-series is seen and built like a real human laboratory where ages and emotions will telescope in order to deliver to Internet users an X-ray of tomorrow’s school. Its ambition is also to tell the world, the diversity of cultures and school means, without forgetting the unalterable carelessness of youth. We hope that Internet users will come out of it armed with new ideas to reinvent education.
