Project Summary

In order to be motivated, the adult trainee has to be trained within a learning environment that will enable him/her to implement the training paths in a state of well-being (in many occasions the formal and non formal evaluation of the training courses for adults, have reported that adult trainees often feel extremely stressed and overwhelmed by the challenges of their professional and personal lives) .
On the other hand, the well-being of the adult trainee passes through the right teaching approach, the well-being of the trainers themselves and their skills to create a “well-being learning environment”. An important role, within this framework , is also played by the adult education institutions, that have the responsibility to provide the proper organisational aspects (in terms of physical structures for the implementation of the courses, and the provision of training material and administrative/bureaucratic organization ).
This project is proposed in order to facilitate development and validation of “well-being learning environment” in adult staff and learners as we perceive well-being to be the foundation for effective teaching and learning and utilizing one’s potential.
In this framework, the creation of a “Protocol” containing the procedures, learning approaches, training tools and physical/logistic aspects of the learning environment, is to be considered as one of the milestone (and the one of the main outputs) of the project. The Protocol will be the basic document to follow to validate these environments, and certify them as “Well-being learning environments”.
This project will be beneficial for all organisations involved in the consortium as well as for their networks and stakeholders and end users to which the project outputs will be disseminated and easily accessible.
Through this project we wish to address the priorities of Erasmus + Strategic partnership projects “Revising and strengthening the professional profile of the teaching professions” and “Recognition, transparency, certification” and the European Policy in the field of adult education”Improving the quality and efficiency of the adult learning system”.
The methodology applied during the execution of the project is tailored towards the varying in type activities envisaged in the proposal.
The work plan of the project includes seven work packages. WP1 tackles management and coordination within the partnership and will be performed by the project coordinator. In the framework of WP2 concrete and up-to-date information and analyses on “well-being” in the framework of adult education in partner countries will be conducted in order to identify the target groups needs and the different institutional approaches on the validation of competencies and learning environment in the partner countries and at European level . Based on the results of WP2 a Report for amendments of the training tools created during the previous “Welness” project together with the pilot version of the training tools and of the “Map of the key elements of a well-being learning environment” will be developed under WP3. These pilot versions of the outputs will be translated in all partner languages and localized in partner countries in order to be tested through training courses under WP4. After the end of the training course an evaluation workshop will be organized to collect feedback. The reports from the workshops will be sent to Promimpresa as it is responsible for ensuring project quality. The aim of these workshops is to collect comments on the collected feedback and suggestions from the end users. Upon completion of the testing phase, the pilot tools will be refined and finalized and will be completed in WP5.
In order to spread the results from the project to the target sector, target group, potential users and final users several channels will be used and innovative and structured dissemination activities will be undertaken under WP6. Dissemination methods will comprise project bulletins, leaflets, brochures, official press conferences, etc. Under this work package there will be conducted small scale campaigns in all partners countries. In Italy and there will be conducted also large scale conferences to promote the final products (the new extended and improved training tools) and the “Protocol”.
WP7 will be carried out during the whole implementation period of the project with the aim to ensure high quality processes and high quality products and impact of the project.
The last WP (8) will be dedicated to the evaluation phase of the whole project. It will be leaded by Estonian Non-formal Adult Education Association as it is considered an important phase to guarantee the proper project management during the whole project’s life.
