Project Summary
The project is designed around similar diagnoses from five countries of the European Union. Surfing the internet may prove problematic for our students particularly from the point of view of the time spent in front of the screens (addiction), the information that is put at their disposal, and thus of the lack of security they exposed to; today our European youth are the target of the internet trolls but, they, in their turn, unwillingly or not, can turn into authors of bullying acts.
Faced with these types of problems, we have decided to meet and to put into practice training courses for both teachers and students in order to create examples of best practice and then turn them into reflexes.
Project objectives:
1. Fighting against bullying and cyber bullying
2. Creating an academic environment which is non-discriminatory and tolerant for all students
3. Teaching students about surfing the internet under safe circumstances and thus ensuring a healthy numerical environment
4. Promoting the formation of students’ inter-curricular and multicultural skills
We will also generate the means which will allow for dissemination of the best practices and of the results of the training courses held in each school. There will be approximately 500 students involved.
We will focus on our collective intelligence in order to protect our students and to develop a genuine common European citizenship which we will pass on to our students as well.
The project is concerned with basic competences which allow to surf the internet in total security and work one’s way through the jungle of the numerical information and social media as cautiously as possible.
Only in this way will the internet stay a brilliant utensil capable to bring together people all over the world rather than divide them.
Our conclusions and all the materials which we will create will be uploaded on European platforms to be accessible to users.
