Project Summary

NWETSS TYnT stands for North Wicklow Educate Together Secondary School Transition Year in Toledo.
This project is an exchange project between North Wicklow ETSS and IES Maria Pacheco. The primary objective of the project is to have participants develop awareness of language and linguistic diversity through lived experience in the country being visited. During the exchanges, pupils of both schools will participate in classes, cultural activities and excursions with their peers. They will stay with host families for the five day visits.
A secondary objective of the project is to establish a partnership with IES Maria Pacheco, with a view to organising further exchanges for pupils and teachers, and to initiate some longer term KA2 projects too if it is feasible.
This project is a first Erasmus Project for NWETSS, which was established in 2016, and it will help the school to establish international activity as a norm fo rfuture years.
