Project Summary

The main goal of the Together for our Blue Planet project was to develop a common European-level nature conservation thinking, to get to know the different education systems. We considered the acquaintance and acquisition of the experiences and good practices of the institutions to be a priority task. In addition to getting to know the common European natural values, we were looking for opportunities that help educators in what methods and procedures they can use to learn more about the natural values and traditions of other EU countries. Important social, educational, local and individual needs, expectations are the pursuit of nature and environmental protection. Responsible thinkers are happy to engage in all available activities in their field and as community work that they can do for a more livable environment. The responsibility of the pedagogical society is very high, as the efficiency of early childhood education increases over the years, and its results can be traced in the behavioral culture. As a lucky installation of dedication, willingness to do and tender, finding partners was also conscious. The association of educational institutions in Italy, Romania and Hungary was successful. Prior to the common goal, the Italian partner withdrew from the program, but those who continued to undertake mobility were actively involved in the joint work, despite the fact that Covid made it difficult to hold the meetings. Mobility participants shared their own good practices so that everyone took an active part in the meetings. Not only was it the task of the host institutions, but it was also the task of the other partners to express their opinions on the given topic, to add their experiences, ideas, advice and, in some cases, warnings. We got to know such European values as the natural treasures and pastoral traditions of the world heritage of the Hortobágy National Park. The flora, fauna, hiking trails, showrooms and educational trails of the Bükk National Park. The unique values of the Dabasi turjános, the forest hiking trail, the flora and fauna of its marshy, swampy areas. Seeing the wonderful mountains, landscapes and natural formations of Transylvania, Romania, it was stated in everyone that we can pass on these values to our descendants by consciously educating the growing generation about nature and the environment. We learned about the following methods: 1. Museum pedagogy, forest school programs, water-related projects, the use of a bird-friendly study trail, the possibilities of incorporating project pedagogy and cooperative learning techniques into activities. In addition to the natural values, the pastoral traditions (collection – exit), the events that have become a tradition (Crane march, Hortobágy evenings), the significance of the Dabas strudel, the country house and the folk culture. Transylvania, Mátra, Bükk values, exhibition halls, study trails, hiking trails. The events of the Crane Festival mobilizing the crowds gave ideas: the Daruporta beautification competition, the Crane Kitchen. From the report of the environmental educator they learned about the criteria system of the Green Kindergarten, the importance of the vegetable – rock garden – flower garden – bird-friendly educational trail, the educational trail within the Dabas kindergarten, the selective waste collection and composting. They visited institutions, exhibition halls, museums, marshes, turjános, field exercises, mountains, caves. They were able to experience the methodology of the tour guide on a motorboat – steppe cart – game park – bear program. In the sessions, the pair – the differentiated – could follow the group and individual employment. The practical application of infocommunication tools was practiced in education. They exchanged their ICT knowledge, jointly learned how to use the padlet, the ability to chat, and edit ppt and worksheets. They became richer with an occupational sketch, a collection of links, literary and musical material, and brochures for exhibition halls. After visiting each other’s institutions and participating in the mobilities, they got to know the different education systems, the place of nature and environmental protection, their role in their education and in the plans of their country. Through shared experiences, the sense of European belonging brought the partners closer together. A newspaper article about the Erasmus + application was published in several local newspapers (Ludas, Dabas, Hortobágy, Csíkszentsimon), in Dabas the local television and then the radio reported on the meeting. A summary will be published on the Zöldóvoda website after the project is closed. The institutions reported the events to their parents on their closed facebook page, sharing pictures and information. The institutions were enriched not only professionally, but also with equipment, laying the foundation for further effective educational work with these procurements. Each institution managed according to its own ideas, but we exchanged ideas in connection with purchases and purchases: we offered each other books, tools and board games, which we had a positive experience about.
