Project Summary
Development 4 the Future! Students are worried about the earth’s dwindling resources and mankind’s negative impact on the environment. The goal of this Erasmus+ project is to develop, within our students, the understanding of the current problems regarding, resources, energy, the environment and climate change, as well as some of the actions now being used to deal with the problems, such as Reduce/Re-use/Recycle. By exploring some of the innovative solutions currrently being used in Sweden and France, students will be better equiped to assist in the development of greater solutions in the near future.
Over the course of a year, more than 30 secondary school students in France and Sweden will participate in weekly lessons were they will investigate some of the local solutions to the issues confronting communities and industries today. Together, the French and Swedish students will then visit some of these innovative solutions in both France and Sweden. They will explore how companies, both large and small, reduce their energy consumed and the waste generated in daily operations and how communities are increasing their re-use and recycling capabilities. Students will be asked to come up with ways their school can save energy and reduce waste and come up with reccomendations that can be implemented in many schools. The reports and conclusions reached by the students will be disseminated among the all the students of both schools and beyond, reaching a wider audience.
