Project Summary
The project will develop innovative outputs for adult education in the are of equal opportunities and gender.
The engagement of men in gender agenda is in the 21st century the important issue. The topic is addressed by researchers, national and international institutions as well as a large number of non-governmental initiatives and active individuals. The project focusses on gathering and sorting out how to involve men in gender issues. The target group is general public and this goal is achieved through specific target groups, HR managers, gender experts, NGO members, university students in gender courses.
Innovative intelectual outputs:
1. The Manual “Making men more gendered”
The handbook summarizes the remarks about men’s approach to gender issues in the three partner countries. The main objective of the handbook is to design and describe procedures for achieving male participation in gender issues and the equal opportunities agenda.
The manual will have two levels:
1-1: The basic level for the general public
1-2: The advanced level for experts and for workers in organizations dealing with gender issues, HR managers, civil servants. This level will include information on the related legislation of the European Commission.
The manual will be available in the form of text in electronic form. It will be placed on the website of all three partners, always in the national language and in English. It will also be located in the Moodle environment, where an on-line course will also be developed.
During Piloting implementation will be distributed to 900 persons to get substantial feedback.
2. On-line course “How to make men more gendered?”
An online course dealing with the issue of male participation in gender equality and equal opportunities genders. The course will be for the general public.
Durimg Piloting implementation activity the course will be tested by 150 persons.
3. Face to face course for the professional public. Here, the target group will be human resource managers, college students studying social studies, and civil servants dealing with the equal opportunities agenda, NGOs members. The F2F course will be delivered 6 times during activity Piloting Implementation. Each partner will realize 2 courses in its country. Total number of participnats during Piloting Impelementation activity will be 90 persons.
Implementation of the project takes place in the following activities:
A1. Content Analysis
The main content will be data analysis of the currnet situation, the most important issues, needs and chalenges to solve out and suggestion of gender issues which are connected with discrimantion of men and methods how to involve men in gender issues and equal opportunities agenda.
A2. Manual development
The structure of the manual and the basic outline of the document will be created after the completion of stage A1.
A3. Course development
After creating the basic content and structure of the Manual, work on preparing both on-line and face-to-face courses will begin. It will be designed according to needs and knowledge of target groups.
A4. F2F Module Development
Creation of the face to face (F2F) will include sylabus preparation, content developlment, preparation of studying materials including images, videos and multimedia creating, creating tasks, adaptation of materials for F2F course training
A5. Online Course Content
The content developed in the activity A3. Course development will be transmited to the software Moodle to create final online output which will guarantee sustainability, availability, open and free access to information for educators and adult learners.
A6. Piloting Implementation
Online course and F2F course will be tested in this activity. Pilot courses will be tested and verifyied.
A7. Dissemination
The dissemination activities will be promotion of the project activities and results on websites of partner organizations, facebooks, Linkedin, EPALE and 3 conferences.
During the project there will be five transnational meetings. The meetings will be usually held at the beginning of each inplementation action (each 4 – 5 months) to set goals, monitor and evaluate progress of key activities. Each meeting wil be participated by all partners’organizations – project coordinator and project management team of each country (project manager, financial manager and orher experts and organizers of key activities).
The project result will have an impact on improvement and modernization of gender equality educational system. All three partner organizations promote networking among educational institutions an local, regional, European and international level.
Participants in the project will obtain information and experience from other European partners and spread them among other local, regional, and national organizations in the form of professional meetings with adult educators and gender experts, on the EPALE platform, on facebooks, Likedin and other organizations websites.
