Project Summary
NET-POWER project is the acronym for Network for Promotion of Women Empowerment Recognition.
The project starts from the analysis of the data regarding global gender gap brought to light by relevant documents as The Global Gender Gap Report 2018 edited by World Economic Forum or the analysis done by United Nations Womens. The data shows the global gender gap is still very high in every field (in politics, economy, social, education, healty).
The partnership is composed by institution always involved in women associationism. Among the partner we have associations of academic women, associations of women entrepreneurs and educational association. Net-power project wants to create a network among all the institutions involved in reducing the gender gap to facilitate the exchange of best practices all around the Europe.
Specifically:
– Monitoring the situation of women within organizations, companies, and other actions to promote female employment and gender equity as a factor of innovation and growth:
– Analyzing the general context of the women’s situation in the different countries participating in the project;
– Highlighting the initiatives that are carried out to reduce the gender gap;
– Creating a permanent network of women’s organisations that can inform and influence political and economical institutions. Starting from organisations participant to the project to get more and more adhesions also by other countries;
– Designing a website that represent an easy and practical informational tool for European women;
– Spreading the higher number of best practices among organisations involved in women empowerment.
The expected results are:
A creation of a network that on the one hand promote and influence the politics that aim to reduce gender gap, on the other hand it could be a reference point supporting women;
Disseminate best practices from Companies and Academic Institution, committed to achieve an actual gender equality, on an International and local level.
In order to actually reach these results our project will organise 5 transnational meetings. Each partner will collect information about the situation in their own country in order to show the best practices to other partners.
At the same time a website will be create. It will have the role to strengthen the network, to disseminate materials and information and to involve as many associations as possible.
