FRIENDLY EUROPEAN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (FEEL)
This project is a KA2 strategic partnerships for sharing good practices based on research, exploring and discovery including adventure and outdoor experiential education in authentic places. The partner institutions are Materska skola Juhoslovanska 4 Kosice,Slovakia; Aliağa Kindergarden,Turkey; Przedszkole nr 11,Warsaw,Poland; Gradinita Cu Program Prelungit Nr.6, Braila,Romania; ICS G. Verga di Scordia,Italy.
Our main goal in this project is to acquire teachers, children from 3 to 11 years old, parents, schools and all stakeholders, to have the ability to explore the natural and cultural riches of geographies we live on. The global theme “Friendly European Experiential Learning” includes four topics: traditions, ecology, culture and social life, technologies and innovations in school education. We will look for the possibilities of solving problems through human consciousness and cooperation, scientific and technical progress towards sustainability. Our project is based on four main factors that we can summarize as curriculum, teacher, student and school. Our focus will be on learning from each other how to use innovative and interactive methods to work with the children through active participation of every partner school.
All the participants will be given an equal chance and opportunity for personal expression; will be included in the team activities according to their abilities; pupils and adults with special needs and disadvantaged people that express a desire to participate will be included in the project activities without their socio-economic background.
All partners will take place in logo-creating art competiton, inform their local public and media about the project FEEL,set up a project management group in their institutions, work collaboratively with each other. All project activities and outputs will be published in webpage and also in TwinSpace via eTwinnig platform. We will create a virtual library, through which all the participants will have access to the created presentations, movies, drawings, photos, report news from events, a map of project, meetings videos and reports, project book, project timetable and so on, during and also after finishing the project to share good practise and implement it to school curriculum in next years.
Each partner school will be a leader of four project activities and an organizer/administrator of one LTTA Short-term joint staff training events in their country.
To realize our project and its aims, we concentrated our activities in seven aspects. These are: Art Aspect (traditional art and crafts, traditional clothes, songs and dances); Environmental Aspect (recycling activities, compost natural fertilizier, sustainability); Ecological Aspect (seed exchange, ecological garden, a horticulture book); Culturel Aspect (traditional heros/fairytales/stories, traditional games, traditional customs, cultural/historical places); Social Aspect (puppets of traditional heroes, playing games, inclusion students with special education needs, festival, project expositions);Technological Aspect (eTwinning platforms/TwinSpace conferences, skype calls, logo contest, website, documentary videos, coding activities, DVD songs/dances, PPTs, e-books); Innovative Aspect (the update of Erasmus+ project content with project activities, STEM-classes designing, ecologic garden designing, working with waste material); The Festival (a big organized event for all the project products to be shown to the local public in all partner schools). An important aspect of our project is that ICT, web 2.0 tools will be used effectively – experiated partners will organize courses at partner schools that are not qualified in these fields, such as web 2.0 tools at national and international level.
During the project cycle, we planned to have 5 LTTA Short-term joint staff training events total, 1000 children, 100 teachers, 2000 parents will actively take part in project activities and LTTAs.
There will be an increase in pupils’ interest in books, educational materials and activities that has improved children´s literacy, particularly in multiculture, foreign languages, the importance of education about Europe and the EU based on the national and cultural identity. Activities will improve key competences, creativity and skills of pupils and teachers. Through the fruitful cooperation within the schools, we expect to contribute to the professional development of teachers and students’s
basic skills and ICT skills to the professional development of teachers and students.
We expect that the value of of each partner school will be increased due to the new form of teaching and learning; dissemination and presentation materials; activities engaging parents and the general public; project expositions for students, parents, publics and media. Our cooperation with cultural and educational institutions and regional information centers will be improved in the long run.
