Project Summary

The project consists of six countries Italy, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Portugal, Macedonia will work together on exploring our European tangible and intangible cultural heritage of each participating country. During the project time, while working on project activities partners will compare their traditions, find differences and similarities, find diversity in European unity. All peoples make their contribution to the culture of the world. That’s why it’s important to respect and safeguard all cultural heritage, through national laws and international treaties.

Cultural heritage implies a shared link, our belonging to a community. It represents our history and our identity; our link to the past, to our present, and the future. In the case of “cultural heritage,” the heritage doesn’t consist of money or property, but of culture, values and traditions. Heritage” is a property, something that is inherited, passed down from previous generations. So we must protect it and ensure it is passed on to the next generations. This project will motivate us to realize this responsibility and will remind others about the importance of cultural heritage. At this point, a great job falls on educational and public bodies.

The main objective of the project is working on activities related to European cultural heritage. Cultural heritage is our treasure and priceless value for each individual and society and as such, it should be preserved to future generations. Young people and pupils should be familiar with the value of their past. Our aims are to:
• Reinforce a sense of belonging to Europe
• Raise awareness of European common history and values
• Focus on Engaging students and teachers for an Inclusive and Sustainable Europe project
• Better protect, safeguard, reuse, enhance, valorize and promote Europe’s cultural heritage
• Spread the word about the significance of caring for and transmitting our shared heritage
• Encourage the sharing and appreciation of Europe’s cultural heritage as a common resource
• Explore the safeguarding challenges of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the European context. These aims specified in European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage to get a holistic approach, looking at cultural heritage as a resource for the future and putting people at its heart.

In the light of ET 2020(to promote equity, social cohesion and active citizenship) be the growth of our countries by the need to include our heritage: where the past meets the future, which stressed the role of young people in keeping heritage, tradition and culture alive in educational policies. There are many forms of cultural heritage and in our project, we will handle both tangible and intangible forms.
