Project Summary

5 countries are participating in this project: France, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, Italy.

Only the schools in France and Serbia are located in rural areas, the others are located in urban areas. Our project, developed over 2 years, concerns 500 students from 5 to 15 years old. The French school has an additional teacher. In all schools except France, there is a specific teacher for English.

The socio-cultural environment of the different partner countries and the number of students per class is heterogeneous.
All schools are fully provided with digital tools (video projectors, computers or tablets).

Project objectives have been achieved and are listed below :
Objective 1 : Development of basic skills such as :
– Improvement of oral language skills
– Improvement of written language skills (lexical and grammatical) by production an e-book and blog articles
– Improvement of linguistic skills compétences by active participation and memorization of common expressions in oral exchange
Objective 2 : acquire the knowledge of the European common heritage.
-Develop the pupils curiosity about their own cultural heritage and discovering other cultures.
Objective 3 : exchange of good practices , mutualization of innovative practices and implementation of new learning methodologies. We will discuss the organization of remediation, pedagogical differentiation, group management, tools used to promote oral language, production of writing.
-Improve the usage of digital tools in teaching different subjects.
Objective 4 : development of transversal skills :
-Improvement of the communication skills through cooperation between pupils
-Attention of students and involvement in activities improve their knowledge of Critical and Creative Thinking Strategy and their close relationship

Each school will organize a meeting and a Learning Teaching Training in the school for his partners in accordance to the project. The themes of each meeting are already planned and linked to each activity :
– Development of language skills (oral and written)
– Attention of students and involvement in activities English teaching
– Cultural-historical heritage through project-based learning
– Creative and critical thinking dispositions of teachers.
– Internet tools and Learnings apps

To communicate and get organized between the meeting, we will use emails, social media as Whatsapp (close group), videoconferencing (skype), and collaborative tools (google doc and google drive especially).

Between the meeting, each partner will have to do activities in his school, to prepare the meeting with his pupils.
Our activity related eTwinnings projects will be :
– “Welcome home”
– “Let’s us discover our traditional tales ”
– “Let’s us share our recipes”
– ”European cultural & historical heritage”
– “Let’s us become European artists”
– “Let’s us test our knowledge of partners”

The activities done in each school will be presented to the whole communities: pupils, teachers, parents, assistants, staff, municipality… In order to disseminate better, we will create a blog for this project, easy to use for the families, the educational community and also for the media. We will solicit local media such as the regional daily , local radio or municipality’s websites to present our work and experiences.

A project closing conference will be organized in each country. This presentation will bring together children, parents, collaborators and members of National Education. It will expose the results of our exchanges but also the concrete applications in our classes.

Our main objectives are linked to our most relevant priority- Reinforcing development of key competences through project-based learning in different subjects, development of critical thinking, creativity, pair and group work, peer learning, including families as active participants in some activities, promoting comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning, giving more opportunities to all pupils, enhancing the social and educational value of European culture and heritage, as well as European citizen.

Beyond an educational project, this experience constitutes a real human adventure. Exchanges between children will allow them to improve their basic skills by opening them up to the world. Teacher meetings will allow them to question and enrich their teaching practices.
