Project Summary

Get Real not Virtual but Equal is a project whose aim is to tackle with “Social Media Addiction” ,to promote “Media Literacy”and “Equal Consumption of World’s Resources” among young people. It lasts 24 months and involves 5 educational institutions with more than 450 teachers and 4000 students aged 15-19. Each partner school will bring 6 students and 2 teachers to each mobility. Each partner school has different expertise and experience about the subject of the project. There will be 5 LTT visit activities and combined training activities supported by eTwinning activities.
All activities are related to priorities and SDGs
The objectives of our project are;
To tackle with social media addiction
To highlight dark side of the social media and internet
To make young people more active and social
To promote real and virtual communication skills
To promote Media Literacy, critical thinking and creativity
To promote using digital technologies in education, training, youth and sport
To strengthen awareness of young people about democracy and counter manipulation, propaganda and disinformation
To promote Slow Food Movement ,climate action and artificial intelligence
To promote learning to learn competence
To promote Zero Hunger , No Poverty , Clean Water and Sanitation,Reasonable consumption
To broaden and deepen civic and social participation of young people at local, regional, national, European or global level
To strengthen people’s sense of initiative, notably in the social field and to support their communities
During our project activities we are planning to organize local,regional and international campaigns to promote our objectives. Experimental and Competency Based methodology will be used in activities.
The concrete results that we would like to produce are:
– Project’s website and a twinspace on eTwinning platform
– Hobby gardens in schoolyards
– Media Literacy social clubs in each school
– eBook of the project activities
-Student’s Europass
– School campaigns on Social Media Addiction and Environment
Five partner schools will share 5 subject topics and plan the activities related to our objectives. we decide the topics according to partner schools’ expertise and experience. Planning to activities, we take into consideration of our project priorities.
Subject Topics and Schools;
1. Healthy Life Style; Zespol Szkol Lesnych (Poland) will promote healthy lifestyle
2.Real and Virtual Communications; Namık Kemal Anadolu Lisesi (Turkey) will promote communication skills
3.Media Literacy; Öffentliches Stiftsgymnasium der Benediktiner in St. Paul (Austria) will promote Media Literacy skills
4. Slow Food Movement; EIISS C. Marchesi (Italy) promote equal consumption of world resources
5.Social Media Addiction; AMAR TERRA VERDE LDA (Portugal)will promote effects of Social Media Addiction, dark side of the internet and give information about Eco-Schools.

All project outputs will be uploaded to educational activities repositories, like EBA in Turkey, so other teachers, trainers and project team members will adapt our achievements and use these after the project’s end.
Project activities will be integrated into curricula in the fields of related school subjects
Projects outputs and results will be uploaded on eTwinning, school education gateway,Erasmus plus project results platform, so everyone can benefit from them after the project’s end
We will go on expanding our project in the light of the results of it and create new international projects.
Our target groups are teachers, parents, students and stakeholders.
There are a variety of ways to disseminate that we planned. These are:
– local media such as TV, radio, printed and online newspapers. We will send documents to them in the beginning of our project and prior and post our project activities and mobility
-social media accounts, like Facebook,Twitter
-the official website and websites of partner schools or/and participants’ blogs
-meetings which will be held at schools in order to disseminate our mobilities and products to school board, students, and parents, local stakeholders, local and national educational authorities, and regional schools and their staff
-eTwinning: public twinspace where all the materials and results will be uploaded, and eTwinning live events to promote our project
-School Education Gateway by uploading articles, results of polls and surveys, material produced,etc
-Erasmus+ platform
– Each partner school will send the results of the project to minister of education in each country
– Each partner school will share the results of the project with NGOs
