Context/background of the project:
The main reason of this project was the need to improve knowledge and experience in connection with legal and fiscal aspects and other implications of international transactions with the view of existing differences between national and European legislation. Therefore, in the context of intensifying economic recession in the European Union, its was a particular need for tools to support and improve knowledge and competencies of legal and tax specialists involved in transactions carried out at community level (so-called “international transactions”).
Our project was aimed to set the basis for a future network of law and tax firms using a common base of resources and being interested in developing new ones (starting with the project involved partners, and then be extended to other legal and tax practitioners).
This project, in which legal and fiscal experienced partners as well as training providers were involved, was needed to realize a training module focused on legal and tax issues and implications of international transactions implemented at the community level – designed for both training partners involved in the project, other colleagues, and graduates in the legal and fiscal area who were not able to find a job.
The need of implementing this project came from the experience of partners who have found that no existing training market offers graduates the knowledge and skills associated with the legal and tax implications of international transactions, more and more present in the collaborations of various economic and social EU partner countries.
The objectives of the project were the following:
