Project Summary

The project was based on books by Haim Omer entitled “The New Authority” and “The Wow Factor – A Worldwide Analysis of the Quality of Arts Education” by Anne Bamford, which emphasizes the need for arts education.
Art and culture was made accessible to our students. Taking into account economic, ecological, sustainable, socio-cultural gender aspects and measures, the pupils should deal with their own works and the works of others.

A total of 40 people participated in the project, 16 of them from the Center for Inclusive and Special Education 10 in Vienna and 24 from the Friedrich-Elvers-Schule Heide.

The following activities took place: museum, theater, exhibition visits, concerts, culinary experiences and traditions in the partner institutions

The method used was evidence-based education and integrated learning.

The results of each activity were documented and presented in different ways. In addition to the homepage, works of art made by students were presented at a national art exhibition including an exhibition catalog.

The students’ involvement with art and culture has also had an influence on the parents or legal guardians as well as inhabitants of the residential district / catchment area. These were also invited to the exhibition and other cultural and culinary events.
