Project Summary

In the project “There’s no place like home – so where am I?”, over the time span of 16 months around 45 young people from 7 organizations and initiatives from France,England, Scotland, Austria and Germany want to engage against xenophobia in Europa and thus for the cohesion of the EU. Because for EU skeptics the xenophobia is the central theme which mobilizes broad sections of the population.
At the same time the theme serves as the main topic to broaden and solidify an already existing loose educational network. In workshops at three international and 9 regional meetings, the local working groups plan to reflect together on their youth educational outreach, create new concepts for public events and share their experiences and expertise. With multilingual stickers, newspapers, brochures and public events, concrete results from the workshops are planned to be tested during the project already and provide further material for peer-learning. Refugee Initiatives – lead by refugees themselves – will be invited as experts. The project aims to work together with the refugees to give them a political voice.
