Project Summary

Gifted children are invaluable jewels in every country’s intelligent and sustainable growth goals. However, surveys have shown that most of these children can not achieve the successes that they have the potentials and abilities they have. What else should we do for gifted children who have at least as much adjustment skills as normal children? Or should we make ourselves more suitable for them?
Our project “Gifteds and Mindful Societies” believes that by creating an infrastructure on these questions, the basic dynamics of creating a smart environment will be through the exchange of innovative practices.
With this project, we have aimed to provide new environments for gifted children to show their potential by decreasing the problems of harmony with the social and academic environment. For children’s talents and creative potentials to emerge, for their social skills to be stronger and able to be realized, We believe that the social circle that surrounds them first needs sufficient knowledge and skill.
A total of 64 personnel will participate in these project activities, in which Turkey is the project applicant and Belgium, Spain and Romania are partners. These participating staff consist of guidance teachers, special education teachers, school psychologists and other expert staff who have mastered and doctored or are working as field specialists in the field of gifted. The institutions in the project are organizations that provide services for diagnosis, programming, enrichment studies, teacher education and family education for gifted children.
Learning mobility activities will take place at the Leonardo Gifted School in Romania. Apart from the general curriculum, this institution provides education for gifted children with a program according to the potential abilities of each child. It applies innovative, extraordinary and creative training programs in both individual and group work. Together with the project participants,
-Educational training workshop
-Reading work
-The workshop
-We will gain experience in innovative practices by participating in social life skills and coaching system activities.

The second phase of learning mobility activities will be accompanied by the education programs of EHP Belgique, which serves the families of gifted children in Belgium. Innovative programs run by this institution will enable families to experience how they are actively involved in the training of gifted and talented and how to achieve success. Participants in EHP Belgique;
-How do the gifted children learn how to learn?
– Internal and external expert assistance
-Kangaroo class system
-Interactive online support activities
– Will eventually participate in the individualized program (PEBS) preparation activities and experience different and successful activities in the field of family education.

In our project, we started by identifying the problem in accordance with scientific research methods and techniques. We have benefited from scientific research and studies on the problems of gifted children in the process of determining the problem. We have communicated with international institutions that can see this problem. Consultations were made on the project’s setting, working methods, expectations and expected impact. In the planning section, the roles and responsibilities of the partners were determined by determining the logical framework of the project. Meetings are planned for the learning motions to be carried out during the execution of the project and for measuring the impact and effectiveness of these activities. In the application phase, it is planned to measure the activities in learning mobility and the effect that these activities will have on the participants. The assessment of wh-questions will be sought will be taken into account when considering consistency and accuracy criteria. Finally, the extent to which the activities and workshop experiences experienced at the evaluation stage will be assessed. Pre-test, post-test and questionnaire applications will be used at this stage. The positive impact of the project and the extent to which gains can be gained will be assessed.
We believe that the Gifteds and Mindful Societies will have a significant impact on the staff of the agencies working on gifted children and in the classroom teachers working on this area and their families. Creating a new point of view in ordinary and single-level education programs that gifted children are exposed to and seeing new applications applied to this area is valued for every project partner. During the dissemination, teachers and parents will bi trained on the achievements of the project.
At the regional, national and international levels, creating innovation and creativity outside the classical methods, and raising awareness in the field of internationalization are among the ultimate goals of our project.
