Project Summary

Our institution, Kaposvár Festetics Karolina Central Kindergarten Artistic Base Kindergarten, Accredited Excellent Talent Centre, Qualified Reference Institution, European TalentPoint, is the Base Institution of the Kaposvár-Somogy county Talent helper Council’s Kindergarten Section.The talented child’s personality and the development of their talent attributes is highly important to us. We can gladly say that we’ve worked out several good exercises, joining forces of the kindergartens that have art departments in Somogy-county, helping their evolution into talent centers, and helping the work of those who already succeeded at it. With working out “TALENT” we’ve succeeded realizing our talent nursing work in the confines of national collaboration, passing on such an unique musical education good exercise, which can be successfully implemented in our partner-institutions, the published good exercise of Tücsök Zenekar Zenei tehetségműhely(Grig Band Musical Talent Workshop’s).Joining as our collaboration partner in this project was the ‘The Little Prince’ Kindergarten of Csíkszereda. From each institution 5-5 pedagogues was involved in developing and realizing the project. We’re proud that we first lit the candle in our brother-city Csíkszereda –where our colleagues were professionally prepared and open minded towards talent nursing. In our collaboration we got to know each other’s cultures in the search for common ground with the help of the introduction , development and realization of the process of talent nursing. Talent nursing resides in all of the life of the kindergarten, for this reason in addition to the already existing methodic package we’ve helped involving the children in artistic activities based on their individual interests, creativity and motivational attributes with the development of monthly project activities. (Collective ring games on the world-day of music, kindergarten concert on the day of Hungarian culture, “Pincétől a padlásig” dance house at the carnival, musical talent nursing workshop works titled : “A bűvös csengettyű” and “Itt a farsang hív a tánc”.) With the realization of local programmes we shared a mutual insight of our folktraditionkeper work. With the realization of practical and theoretical retraining in the confines of the TALENT programme of Kaposvár and Csíkszereda we’ve provided professional reform and methodic counseling during the visits to each other’s institutions. During the presentation of the musical activitities we have emphasised musical talent nursing methods based on metallophone play, innovative and alternative pedagogic methods, which out partners implemented for themselves with the establishment of Csíki Tücsök Zenekar Zenei Tehetségműhely (Csíki Grig Band Musical Talent Workshop’s). During the realization of the project the attendance of the parental community was important to us, so in both institutions we have realized the joint familiar programme with the promising talents. As a result of the open mindedness towards talent nursing and arts we have successfully passed on the musical good exercise, of which the true winners are the talentpromises and the pedagogues who are open minded towards talent nursing in both the institutions in Kaposvár and Csíkszereda. These achievements provided us such momentum that allowed us to further proceed with our work, and meet our long term goals, and to continue establishing international contacts. As a result the work in our kindergarten richens, and with the application of new methods the competences of the pedagogues also evolve, the children and the parents will be more satisfied which improves the environment in which we work.
