Project Summary
The “Theater for Change” project was created in cooperation of youth groups from the Regional Volunteer Center and the IMAGINA organization from Spain, with whom we had the opportunity to meet during the CMS Civic Volunteering in July 2017 in Kielce. We want to implement the project to encourage young people to develop themselves, learn about the world and act for the local community
MAIN OBJECTIVE: Reaching people with fewer opportunities to promote tolerance and interculturality and international youth mobility through theater techniques, in particular drama.
The whole project is based on three main elements: preparing groups to work with the methods of drama, then conducting a series of local workshops among young people from excluded backgrounds that will open them to other cultures and build understanding for people from other countries. The last stage is sending 12 people from the excluded groups to the international youth exchange. Thanks to this experienced young people will change their attitude to the surrounding world and help reach other people. W ramach projektu powstałną także ciekawe materiały wideo oraz publikacja zachęcająca do korzystania z metod dramy.
We believe that this project will trigger the effect of a snowball and will allow reaching an ever-larger group of recipients.
