Project Summary

Due to the town twinning between Odense and Schwerin, a school twinning between Mulernes Legatskole and BSWV in Schwerin was established. After two years of loose cooperation and the beginning of student exchanges, we were able to expand the student exchanges and promote several mobilities with the help of the Erasmus+ programme School Twinning.
The school partnership between Mulernes Legatskole in Odense, Denmark and BSWV in Schwerin, Germany is the basis for the internationalisation efforts of our school. It has already existed for almost six years. It is an important point in our school profile, as we consider the student exchanges to be particularly important and instructive. The European Union is a great asset that is open to students* for their future career. For this reason we would like to enable them to learn interculturally by participating in the student exchanges. As Mulernes Legatskole is already a pioneer in the field of digital teaching, the students will benefit greatly from this.
The same applies to the participating teachers who visit the school for observation visits. The exchange of experiences regarding technical-didactic and methodical preparation of the lessons will be in the focus.
The thematic focus of the project is on career and study guidance. The students will work together on site and digitally. Joint online events will be designed and held via the etwinning platform. They will support each other in the creation of the Europass CVs. For this they will have to deal with their previously acquired competences and the requirements necessary for the desired professions. The counselling will also look at the Single European Education and Work Area. The development towards Europeans will become important for this generation.
The exchange of experience between school administrators is also in the foreground this time and should influence the design of digitisation in our school. What mistakes can we avoid, what problems need to be solved.
From our school we will send about 10 students* and 5 teachers*. We will receive 50 Danish guest students and up to 6 accompanying teachers. The pupils attend the 11th and 12th grades in both countries, so they are of the same age.
At Mulernes Legatskole, the successful school partnership has led to an increased number of German learners. At our school the interest in stays abroad has increased. We hope that the school partnership with the associated student exchanges will become a competitive advantage in attracting new students, parallel to the other efforts of internationalization and education for/in Europe at our schools.
