Project Summary

The project’s goal is to come up with the most efficient way of of organising children and youth within an adult organisation for their rights. The partners will develop a model of meaningful participation of children and youth and lobby it towards the target organisations. To achieve the aim, the partner organisations will work to straighten the cooperation between child and youth groups volunteering and working in national Save the Children organisations in Europe, not only in the partner countries but also other countries with rising youth involvement in the charity.

Currently, children and youth in Save the Children are organised in various ways – some are independent youth organisations, others are informal groups of volunteers; some are topic-oriented youth NGOs who have a partnership with their national Save the Children organisation; others are individual young volunteers who donate their time to the organisation. We think that by combining these different realities we can learn from each other, find the most efficient way of organising and thus improve our work on the national level. Furthermore, by creating an international platform, we will be able join efforts into making fearless and stimulating environments for children regardless of borders.
