Project Summary

The project TURN ONline is dedicated to promotion of the idea of the Digital Transformation of the youth NGOs, working in the field of peace building and Human Rights. Digital Transfromation of the youth NGOs is a process of digitalization of the NGOs work and strategical usage of Information and Communication Technologies in order to achieve their social objectives by more efficient way in era of globalization and development of digital technologies.
To be well presented in online reality and communicate through ICTs are crucial elements for NGOs development nowadays. Internet and wide variety of digital tools help NGOs to communicate with their beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders. NGOs actively organize online actions, campaigns, e-learning activities in order to reach their goals and strengthen the social impact of their activity. In the NGO vocabulary appeared the term “online activism” describing the social actions that they take in the virtual reality. Digital technology is increasingly used in NGO world in order to improve livelihood, from boosting productivity in agriculture, to create greater access to education, to deliver of needed aid and supplies. NGOs actively use ICT for online brand awareness, creating social change, recruiting volunteers and event attendees, online fundraising. But unfortunately, NGOs in most cases don’t have any strategy of their presence in the online reality and that´s why loose the potential of their actions.
The main aim of the project is to encourage youth organizations working in the field of peace building and Human Rights to transform their activity digitally and to use different forms of online activism in order to increase social impact from their actions.
Together with seven project partners from Spain, Bulgaria, Moldova, Hungary, Greece and Romania the set of online and offline activities will developed together with the Communicational Campaign about the project. Within 20 months of the project duration we will propose local workshops, webinars, MOOC, trainings, Conferences and will develop the Digital Guidelines. The central topics of the activities are digital tools for management of youth NGOs and non formal educational activities, social communication and online activism. Around 300 participants will take part in the offline project activities and 900 participants in the online events.
We believe that our project will help youth NGOs to TURN ONline their activities and have stronger social impact thanks the digital transformation process of their action.
