Project Summary

In our project “Tourism in times of climate change”, the students will deal with climate change and its effects on tourism in the regions of the Allgäu and Ferrara. In a first research, the students record the problems and effects of climate change those on the partner region and develop questionnaires for their trip. During the respective visits, special regional tourist businesses and institutions will be presented to the foreign pupils. During these presentations the pupils will get the chance to talk to those responsible for tourism in the region. The results of these interviews and discussions are presented at the end of the respective visits and made available online to all participants via etwinning. This discussion promotes environmental awareness and the students develop ideas for concepts of school sustainability together. This cooperation is intended to strengthen European cooperation and the need for a common European, especially environmental, policy. Of course, language skills will also be promoted as the students communicate with other students from the two partner countries. Intercultural competence is strengthened in exchange with the host families and by immersing oneself in the other culture.
