Project Summary

Our centre is in touch with the rest of countries involved within this initiative since 2012. Our contact comes from the eTwinning platform and the form has been negotiated and agreed among all the partners.
We have got a programme from the Educational Inspection Service about Transition Educational Stages in curricular and living areas.
We intend to work and study the geometry from the perspective of art (in its various manifestations), taking advantage of our pupils to discover the legacy that history has made, and continues making of Europe a rich and varied continent.
We will start with the concept of volume.
It is designed to be carried out during 36 months. Along this period the proper evaluation of the project will be ensured due to, throughout this time, the students will experiment the transit between different educative stages.
Within this project 6 institutions are involved and we have got students between 3 and 16 years old.

We are convinced that, based on the motivational axis of the historical, natural, linguistic and artistic richness of Europe, the teaching and learning work has more guarantee of success
Finland is working on its new educational programs, especially on new techniques, methodologies and resources.
Poland has a good experience in the field of mathematics. They have school programs that link art and math and some international awards for their brightest students
We counted on 4 courses with a program of Educational Transition between the different educational stages
Turkey has experience in European project management
Italy, contributes initiatives of geometry vs art; Mathematical awards and construction of historical buildings to scale
All participating organizations have experience in online document management and in eTwinning Projects.
OBJECTIVES
Develop collaborative work strategies
Create a line of interdisciplinary methodology in the teaching of geometry
Concrete actions and methodological strategies within the framework of the transition between compulsory educational stages
Improve communication skills in English Language
Become aware of the sense of belonging to Europe
Valuing cultural diversity as a means of personal enrichment

Active participation through questionnaires about the project’s needs, priorities and objectives. Working together through Drive.
Cooperative and collaborative decision making in order to plan the main project’s activities: creation of different committees; delegations of specific functions; transnational meetings, as well as, teaching-learning meetings.
Inclusive proposals which encourage the creativity and critical and divergent thinking in students. In relation to these proposals we will design tasks along the project’s development.

TRANSNATIONAL ACTIVITIES/MEETINGS
To these activities 2 teachers from each institution will meet in 4 transnational meetings
MEETINGS WITH STUDENTS
There will be 2 meetings with students in which 6/7 children from each country will travel accompanied by 2 teachers. The selection criteria will be as follows: better competence in English and other areas, and coming from families which are the most collaBorative ones and that show good attitudes of respect and socialization
