Project Summary

„Through the brotherhood of scouts to the brotherhood of nations” – The project is created by instructors of 7th Łódzka Drużyna Harcerska Chorągwi Łódzkiej ZHP and 37th Belfast Scouts. For over 110 years scouts from all over the world have been surrounded by nature, watching animals, spending time in the forest, sailing, meeting each others by the fire, simply using every possible way to enjoy all the gifts of nature. It is high time to take the one step further. Replace usage of nature with full symbiosis with nature. We want to give back everything we have taken from mother nature for over hundred years. How are we going to do that? Firstly, we will get involved in ecological activities in our countries, reveal dangers and carry out common actions based on them. By working in small groups we are going to learn how to fight with these dangers, we’ll discover how to implement scouts’ methods giving back the nature more than we have taken from it. We are going to work on our habits, which will improve our contact with ecosystem. We will learn how to admire the beauty of nature. We are going to organize series of training and workshops for young leaders and members of our teams. Thanks to them, we will learn how to preserve the nature, to make good use of its attractiveness and charm. We are going to organize a common camp in Ireland, where we will implement all new methods and make relationship between our organisations even closer. All innovative activities performed internationally will increase the attractiveness of this program. Consequently, it may inspire other scout groups from both countries to join the program. Brotherhood? Only by being united we can achieve our goal effectively. The synergy – the outcome of our international cooperation- will result in the effectiveness of all the actions. Common pursuance to goal will help us make strong and long lasting relations but also it will break ethnic barriers and languages barriers. Goals, which we strive to achieve, refer to every inhabitant earth. Disseminating the effects of our project, talking about our brotherhood and common responsibility, we’ll inspire our friends to overcome prejudice and barriers on the way to reach the common good. Consequently young person, not only a participant of the camp who got inspired, will be able to make a contribution to building our common ecological home – common ecological Europe. Let’s change the world with us.
