Project Summary
The main objective of the project entitled “Common exercises” is developing relevant skills, competences and deepening knowledge about the broadly understood rescue and operation of Volunteer Fire Brigades in Poland and Germany. The project assumes cooperation and integration of young people from both countries through the implementation of classes and exercises, and learning about cultures and customs. The implementation of intentions covering a wide range of activities will also include participation in competitions and tournaments, meetings, increasing language competences and joint activities of young people aiming to get to know each other. The project includes 2 main meetings of the participants and 2 staff meetings which will be attended by 24 participants, 12 participants from each country. Target groups will be residents from both communes in Poland (commune Okonek) and Germany (commune Stockelsdorf) between the ages of 16 and 30.
Exchange of experience during joint activities and exercises will contribute in improving language skills, overcoming barriers when entering adulthood. Implementation of the project in an international partner group is to learn about other habits, cultures, and opportunities for action. All these elements, through their knowledge and comparison, will increase the knowledge and skills of the inhabitants participating in the project. The long-term results will be skills acquired during joint meetings and new staff for training the next generations.
