Project Summary

Project is focusing at creating long term sustainable model of youth work in two regions – Zlín region in Czech Republic and Trenčín region in Slovakia. It follows the logic of successful projects in which partners were involved in the past (KomPrax in Slovakia and Klíčení in Czech Republic) but goes further. It focuses on long term sustainability of the concept and much more counts on cooperation with municipalities. Project is based on sharing know how of partner organisations. YouthWatch brings methodology of working with municipalities and experience in non-formal education. Prazdninova skola Lipnice offers experiences with experiential outdoor pedagogy and RCM and Atmosfera have great local knowledge of their regions where project focuses.

The main goal is to develop a competencies of young people at the end of the elementary school and during high school education. This development can help them to explore their talent which can be use in their community (160 participants). We expect, that stronger self confidence comes with more practice and participation. On this level – there will be also peer to peers participation based on realization of projects involved into trainings and education.
It is necessary for good realization to create a methodology needed for educations. Our participants (youth workers) are people from Trencin and Zlin region. The methodology will connect experiential learning and non-formal education in youth work and it is based on previous experiences of involved organizations responsible for methodology part – Prázdninová škola Lipnice (Czech republic) and YouthWatch (Slovak republic).
As a first one we are going to test created methodology on a test group to receive a feedback and have possibility to improve and update this methodology. Thanks to this test part we will updated the content of methodology and will start with trainings for youth workers. Youth workers will be able to deliver trainings for youth with support by their trainers. At the same time we and partners organization will be working on find out the outcomes of trainings. Also there will be strong cooperation with autonomy/self-government in region and we will be looking for new partners with vision on long-term sustainability and support of youth work system inside region

There are three planned intellectual outcomes. First one is the methodology for youth trainings to be more participating in community, region and public relations. Second one is the measurement of impact of outcomes on participants (youth) including methodology about measurement work. Last one is manual for autonomy/self-government SAMO, concentrated on systematic youth work implementation. All these outcomes will be presented on the final Czech-Slovak conference.
