Project Summary
Disability often generates a lack of social participation and a lack of access to fundamental rights. Among them, the right to nature is rarely mentioned. Nevertheless, access to nature is a source of growth and development for the people with disabilities. This project aimed to correct this lack of modelization and enforce implementation of related actors. This project has associated Romanian and French NGO’s. These organizations are experts in social issues (Equisens for France, Esperando for Romania) and environmental issues (Connected by Nature for France, REPER21 for Romania). The project was to develop an intervention model to improve the access to the nature by youth with disabilities. This modelization, resulting from the synergy of expertise and experiences, has been concretized by an online resource. This ressources enables identification and interconnexions of the actors, and provides educational and technical resources to project promoters. The project has also been an incubator for concrete initiatives, resulting in partnership initiatives created during the multiplier events.
