Project Summary

This project was led by schools from 5 different countries : France, Turkey, Romania, Portugal and Greece. It focuses on the environmental issue. The goal was to transform positively and ecologically each school so that it would enter a new sustainable aera.
The project takes its roots on the E-Twinning platform. The whole draft was written together and once it was accepted and funded, we met up for a first meeting in lisbon where all the work, activities and mobilities were planned. Each country welcomed students and pupils to achieve the goals and objectives such as selective sorting, recycling, awareness campaigns, replanting activities. Those exchanges were really important as they put into light the pupils’s work and achievements.

Troughout the project, we have put materials on the website and the Twinspace in order to disseminate as much as possible. We worked hand in hand with partners such as national parks, conservation centers or waste collecting enterprises to make sure that our actions would have an impact at school and also on the whole community.
We came to the conclusion that this project allowed the whole institution to become more aware of the impending changes that are necessary in order to turn our schools into real actors of the green revolution.
The activities were part of the curriculum but also offered to the pupils the chance to work differently in a more down to earth approach.
The project led to new initiatives such as an “ ecological”course that is now a new possibility for our students.
It reached 20 students who were directly involved in the project and the mobility activities but also all the other students (about 800) throughout the activities carried out at the school level during the two years. This project involved three staff who carried the project but also 30 other staff who participated in the activities and brought their own expertise.
