Project Summary
Schools have to ensure that values and competences such as respect, volunteering, altruism, mutual
help active listening assertiveness and empathy are taught implicitly through every aspect of the
curriculum. We need to fight against discrimination based on racism, sexism, barriers to learning or
homophobia.Abuse is the common origin of intolerance towards any kind of difference and makes
inequality even more severe One of the duties schools have to undertake is social inclusion and
make all the community understand the benefits of school diversity.Young people who are perceived
as different from their peers are often at a higher risk of being bullied such as having different sexual
orientation, having disabilities, being overweight or coming from other countries, religions and
cultural background.
A whole school approach is the most effective way to prevent bullying. When everyone works together
for a safe, inclusive, and accepting school, students receive consistent messages and responses
about bullying and positive relationships at school,at home,in sports and in the neighborhood.By
providing consistent messages, responses and supports that address bullying problems, school
communities can promote positive healthy relationships.
We would like to carry out a Bullying Prevention Program based on relationships of mutual support
among students and schools.
Objectives:
• Establishing strategies for preventing peer abuse
• Contributing to the prevention of bullying involving all members of the school community
• Raising public awareness and mobilizing the community around the issue of bullying prevention
• Taking an active approach to promoting positive behaviour and respect for others and to
addressing all forms of bullying.
• Promoting strategies for inclusion
• Raising cultural awareness avoiding all stereotypes
• Fostering respect and empathy for others
• Giving students knowledge, skills and resources to prevent bullying
• Identifying risk factors associated with bullying
• Fostering diversity as an enriching experience
• Improving students’ self-esteem
• Fostering students’ awareness of their value as individuals, their rights and responsibilities,as well
as those of others
• Encouraging the development of students’ abilities and skills
• Fostering mutual support and cooperation among students
• Expanding students’ support systems by developing a network of respectful and supportive adults
• Implementing a zero tolerance policy for bullying
• Learning and using foreign languages in order to respect and appreciate different ethnic and
cultural values
• Teaching students how to use ICT and social networks correctly
• Getting to know how each associated school approaches social inclusion and what strategies they
have designed to prevent bullying. We would like to improve school coexistence and create solidarity
among students, establishing a Bullying Prevention Program based on relationships of mutual support
