Project Summary
CONTEXT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT:
The project concerns a partnership between Primary Schools from Poland, Ireland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Turkey (children aged +12 years).
PROJECT GOALS:
The aim of the project is to strengthen the position of teachers from partner schools by acquiring new skills and competences as part of the exchange of experience and international cooperation between schools and youth aged +12 years, until 31.08.2020.
Cooperation will be implemented through:
– supporting the team of partner schools in providing high-quality teaching
– implementation by teachers and students of activities using innovative and active methods of teaching/learning through solutions using multi- and interdisciplinary approaches.
– sharing knowledge and exchanging experience in the practical organizational dimension of the school and especially in relation to Partners who need to implement corrective actions
– international cooperation of teenage students from partner schools,
– raising competence at least 10 teachers directly involved in the project through participation in mutual training and exchange of experience,
– improving the efficiency of the use of tutoring and mentoring resources in school practice
– improvement of soft skills among students due to mobility and undertaken activities in the project
– increased effectiveness, motivation and improvement of results taught in the areas of mathematics and science and ICT
– taking initiatives in the teaching process to modify and enhance the curricula used
– improving the quality of work in school facilities through the development of tools and methods to work in the field of individualization of work with a student
NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:
– Teachers and teaching staff of the partner schools, as well as those interested in including and developing the proposed innovative solutions in the school’s own activities.
– Students and pupils of partner schools aged +12, participating in the general education system
The project provides for several dozen mobility mobility related to learning, teaching and training.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIONS:
The project provides for four main groups of project activities:
1. Training meetings combined with work and project meetings – mobility of school representatives for 5-day trainings organized by each Partner (5 trainings)
2. Collaboration of students from partner schools using eTwinning platform – presentations of tasks of individual pupils / schools will be placed on the platform.
3. Collaboration of students from partner schools – short-term exchanges of student groups; 5- day bilateral exchange of 4, 5 or 8 personal school students from each host country
PROJECT RESULTS:
1. Strengthening teachers’ professional competences through participation in international mobility and practical cooperation in the field of education.
2. Establishing long-lasting, satisfactory international cooperation of students aged +12 from partner schools
3. Improving the quality of partner schools by developing or implementing innovative elements observed during the participation in the project
4. Establishing a long-lasting partnership between schools.
IMPACT OF THE PROJECT:
The project will contribute to the improvement of the quality of education in partner schools, which will implement or develop the proposed solutions as a method of current work. It will have a positive impact on the commitment of teachers and students and the implementation of the concept of lifelong learning. Higher quality of education and upbringing thanks to innovative solutions implemented in the School by the teachers participating in the project will influence the dissemination of solutions in the everyday life of the students’ families.
LONG-TERM BENEFITS:
In the European and international dimension, the project will influence the development of innovative and tested methods and tools through cross-border sharing of knowledge and practice. The project is an example of a unique approach to raising teachers’ qualifications, equipping them with competences and skills necessary to provide high quality education services and to meet the increasingly individualized needs of students and their parents.
