Project Summary
Our project is titled «My Everest, Your Molehill» as we would like to emphasize the aspect of learning from each other.
We are six schools from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Spain and Turkey with previous European experience.
Our schools have worked together in different projects and we have been aware of our differences and diversity of approaches to some aspects of teaching.
In this project we would like to go beyond this collaboration and – after a previous analysis of our weaknesses and strengths – we are ready to offer the best we have in each school and to learn from our partners to improve our teaching and learning methods.
Each of our schools has presented its “molehill” or strength that will be shared with the rest of partners. Therefore we have six different areas we intend to improve in this project.
In order to achieve this goal we have established a set pattern for each aspect we would like to improve:
Step 1: Previous work at each institution dealing with our needs in the set learning aspect.
Step 2: Ambassador teachers and students attend a training event at the school with a particular strength on the learning aspect. They participate in different training activities designed by the host school.
Step 3: Back to their countries ambassador pupils and teachers lead follow-up activities at each school. Best practices on the set learning aspect will be implemented at each school.
The different aspects about teaching that we would improve are the following: involving ICT in everyday teaching practice, free learning, coping with different languages, tolerance, learning outside school, developing creativity.
The objective of the project is improving teaching and learning practice in the six schools involved. The best practices and activities will be shared via website (Twinspace) as well as through other dissemination and communications activities – seminars and workshops.
