Project Summary
“We care about our planet” with six partners , we worked together and aimed our school a European dimension by strengthening the profile of teaching profession by collabarating in promoting cultural exchange and environmental values of the participating countries.
Our project based on protecting our environment and taking part in activities related to its protection to leave a cleaner world to a future generation. Teaching our children and helping them to start early to care for the environment was the most important contribution we can make toward preserving our planet.
We encouraged students to become aware of their responsibilities, improving their creativity and innovation skills with regard to care about the planet they live on through exchanging information with their European partner schools.
Project activities such as recycling,production of crafts ,objects using recycled materials, composting waste, planting, searching of images and information about environmental issues , promoting field research, endangered animals,endemic plants,organizing educational field trips,posters,slogans, games,songs, social events etc stimulated students’ environmental curiosity and creativity and helped them build a sound knowledge of nature and environmental values, enhanced the quality of students education, , and increased their sensitivity awareness to the environment.
Our Aims were :
Awakening an environmental awareness in students at the early age, in local and European communities; making students deal respectfully and in a responsible way with environment activities related to its preservation and protection
developing close and purposeful links between the staffs of the project schools leading to opportunities for effective professional development, curriculum enrichment in all partner schools, and the promotion of good teaching methods, in pedagogical approaches and school management
Creating a European understanding of environmental problems and the value of the preservation of nature among students, teachers and parents with the activities in and out of the school and other people with LTT Project meeting activities.
promoting our students’ and community’s creativity,responsibility and innovation for a sustainable future
The objectives were achieved through a methodology based on activities for a better environment: Through the exchange and comparison of educational activities among the schools, all the planned activities will be included in the curriculum related to the school subjects such as : Science, Math , Art, Music, Physical Education,ICT, Language etc.
Celebrating two festivals involving local community,parents ,teachers and students
*Earth Day in April 2019
*Clean up the World in September 2019 (collecting rubbish)
Planting trees, writing ECO codes towards 2020,
Learning by doing; Preparing and writing leaflets, diary book , guide book, lapbooks, artworks,memory card game, common E-story book etc.
Exploring and observing other countries environments by visiting, communicating through media and studying on Internet
Caring the animals and plants to raise awareness to environment through slogan, poster ,photo competitions
By recycling different materials, decorations ( using bottles, paper, old clothes to make new ones) , using the reusable items to create masterpieces,composting
Motivating the students involved the project to make them self- confident, responsible, self- assured in their ability to use their skills and competences for their personal development and socialisation
Trip to local recycling centre/ natural habitat/farm
Cultural Exchange through LTT Project meeting activities held at the organization/Schools, mascot travel diary. We did our last two LTT activities online because of the Covid 19 pandemi.
IMPACT
Students

gained maximum benefit from the partnership. exchanged good practises, take advantage of different skills that each partners brings into the project with multinational activities and to develop a more integrated curriculum, extend ICT skills and to foster reflective practices transfered best practices of primary school approaches.
We believe that we have built a better planet together!
