Project Summary
Migrants are on the top of the EC agenda since 2015, as various strategies were put in place to look for complementary solutions to manage the issue of rising migration influx. The project is grounded on the European Agenda on Migration, the Action Plan for the Integration of TCNs and the New Skills’ Agenda for EU with specific measures responds to integration needs of migrants’ groups.
The objective of this project was to provide smart solutions for integration of migrants effectively either in the labour market promoting further participation in working and society life and to foster capacity-building of professionals working with migrants on successful integration actions for the target group.
This was done via following outcomes:
IO 1- Competences shadowing Programme
IO 2 – COMPe4Mi e-Learning Platform
IO 3 – Capacity Building Course for professionals working with migrants
The project was designed based on the partners’ experience and understanding of professionals working with migrants needs and immigrant learners. The project brought together 5 partners from 5 different countries wishing to promote citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination, strengthening social cohesion and helping people become responsible, open-minded and active members of our diverse and inclusive society by enriching adult educators’ intercultural competences.
This project included four transnational project meetings that contributed to the preparation, implementation and evaluation phase of the project as well as one joint staff training event for the staff of the participating organisations so as to be able to inform the target group during the multiplier events and the pilot testing. All the information gathered through this project and the promotion of the project itself was uploaded on the COMPe4Mi e-Learning Platform. Multiplier events were organised Poland, Italy, Finland, Cyprus and Greece.
