Project Summary
This scientific project was based on comparisons of water ecosystems and associated physical and human environment in both countries and regions. The main objectives of the project were improving students´ skills in science, math and literacy via practical tasks. Students aged 14-19 from Gymnazium Jihlava and Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough worked together on various tasks. Topics of collaborative tasks included comparative studies of drinking water, procedure of wastewater treatment or water consumption. This project work was enhanced by short term exchanges in both countries. Students of both schools were made active as much as possible. They participated in a crash course or workshops, did experiments, presented the results of the project and took part in dissemination activities as well.
The main results of the project work such as lab diaries, pelmanism or posters can be seen at twinspace or project website.
